More than 70 years ago, Aviator Dieter Dengler became a national hero during the Vietnam War as the second of only seven captured pilots to escape the Pathet Lao prison camp in Laos. In 2026, Dengler’s brother Martin Dengler, now a resident at Revel Folsom, joined his son in honoring their relative’s remarkable legacy with an inspiring presentation about his life in the Revel Folsom Theater for Vietnam War Veterans Day.
