The Wagner & Kong Cello and Piano Duo has been acclaimed for their sensitive, dynamic and passionate artistry, impacting audiences in transformative concert experiences.
Cellist Dr. Christoph Wagner hails from Germany, is the winner of numerous international awards, and has performed in prestigious venues around the world. He is currently Assistant Professor of Cello at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Joanne Kong, pianist, was awarded a fellowship from the American Academy of the Arts in Europe, was the Grand Prize Winner in the 1985 International Piano Recording Competition and is in demand as a guest teacher and lecturer. She is the director of Chamber Ensembles at the University of Richmond. One concertgoer wrote, “Christoph and Joanne come together with exquisite beauty.
